Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Directly responsible for scheduling product movements on various ETP Refined Products Pipelines - Accountable for issuing daily scheduling orders to Control Center, field personnel, terminal operators and Shippers (customers) in a timely and accurate fashion. - Scheduling orders reflect close coordination of receipts and deliveries which ensures ratability to customers. - In charge of analyzing shipper nominations to assure capacity on the pipeline is available. - Directly responsible for verifying daily and monthly activities for each customer from origin to destination. - Works closely with shippers, control center, engineers, business development, terminals and field personnel to coordinate events in pipeline activity that affect the movement of product. - Communicate system capabilities and deficiencies each month to various groups. - Provide analytical support to various departments to look for opportunities for continuous improvement and business growth. Minimum Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent work experience. - General scheduling skills, excellent analytical abilities, computer skills in Word, Excel and in proprietary scheduling program, - Must have strong customer focus, interpersonal skills, leadership skills, be team orientated with excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to independently establish priorities - Must be detail-oriented. - Requires ability to interpret data/specifications and translate into practical day-to-day operations. - Ability to work closely with both internal and external customers and must have strong customer focus. - Must understand Shippers' needs and their business in the interest of guiding the department to meet their business objectives. - Must be able to provide 24-hr on-call support for area of responsibility including weekends and holidays. - Must be extremely flexible and able to adapt quickly to changes resulting from pipeline interruptions or refinery changes Preferred Skills, Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in scheduling in the pipeline industry logistics or related fields. - Working knowledge of pipeline operations are preferred however not required provided candidate has similar logistics and customer focus experience from a different industry - Working knowledge of oil flow material balances as well as integral distribution experience including general scheduling, terminal operations, marketing, customer profiles. Special Considerations: The Scheduler's responsibilities range from the very simple at the entry level to extremely complex at the more senior level. Schedulers initially begin with very straight-forward scheduling challenges, with few other considerations. The more experienced/senior scheduler is dealing with very complex, integrated product movement concepts, tight timing issues, sophisticated equipment considerations, manpower availability, knowledge of and coordination between other schedulers' schedules, and contingency plans.
