*This position will eventually be located in Rochester, Pennsylvania.* Job Description: - Perform operation and maintenance activities on mainline natural gas pipelines, including being able to start, stop, load/unload engines and compressors, monitor and record pressures, temperatures, volumes, fluid levels, etc. - Required to respond to call outs for pipeline related activities and emergencies - Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain and repair all facilities as assigned, including but not limited to pipelines, compression, and measurement facilities. - Knowledge and experience with line location equipment and techniques, patrol pipelines, respond to One-Calls as needed, and maintain pipeline markings - Obtain OQ qualifications in concordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements - Basic map reading and Global Positioning System (GPS) skills - Ability to read and utilize equipment manuals, drawings, schematics, alignment sheets and P&ID drawings. - Maintain a working knowledge of regulatory requirements (OSHA, DOT, EPA and state regulations) and document required regulatory activities. - Must plan, organize and prioritize assigned responsibilities. - Work independently as liaison between Energy Transfer Partners and outside entities i.e. landowners, emergency response agencies, contractors and other pipeline companies. - Manage all activities with a focus on safety and compliance. - Other duties as assigned Essential Requirements: - Successful Candidate must reside within a 25 mile radius of report to location - High school graduate - Must provide valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record - Candidate will be required to take and pass a pre-employment drug test, and will adhere to and is subject to all U.S. Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol related regulations, and will be subject to a background check. - Self-motivated individual with a high regard for integrity and excellent written and verbal skills. - Pipeline or previous work experience - minimum of 2 years Preferred Skills: - Previous experience in high pressure natural gas pipeline/mainline transmission systems is desired. - Advanced training in valves and associated equipment - Familiar with IRTH or other One-Call monitoring systems - Strong mechanical aptitude/mechanically inclined Special Characteristics/Job Requirements: - Works indoors and outdoors, in and around mechanical, industrial and electrical equipment. - Required to climb about equipment and work in close proximities. - Works in temperature extremes due to weather conditions and operating equipment. - Uses physical force to lift, push, pull and hold equipment and tools.
