Essential Functions: Performs operations and maintenance activities related to pipeline, gas compressors and measurement. - Operates compressor station and dehydrator. - Operates and maintains pipeline. - Pigs pipelines and solves other restriction problems. - Maintains and operates chemical injection pumps. - Maintains stations and sites. - Assists mechanics on compressor maintenance. - Reads and interprets pipeline maps. - Locates and marks pipelines for line locates. - Collects gas samples when needed. - Complies with company safety policies. - Attends meetings and participates in the safety program. - Complies with company policies concerning regulatory compliance and assists in documentation of compliance. - Trains and develops junior field operators. - Develops, promotes and maintains positive relations with pumpers. - Performs other duties as assigned. Essential Requirements: Experience, Educational & Special Training Required - EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent preferred - EXPERIENCE (and other qualifications): 2-5 years on-the-job training at a Pipeline Technician Level 1 level. Must demonstrate ability and willingness to learn and operate independently. Must be organized, dependable and a team player; attention to detail and a have high sense of urgency; Must display good judgment and be able to work independently, as needed; Must have a valid driver's license. Will be required to work 10 days on with 4 days off schedule. Preferred Skills: - PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Working knowledge of MS Office and should be comfortable with computers in general. Engine Reliability, EMIS, Special Characteristics/Job Requirements: - Works mostly outdoors, in and around mechanical, industrial and electrical equipment. Required to climb about equipment and work in close proximities. Works in temperature extremes due to weather conditions and operating equipment. Follows and adheres to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines (ex: eye protection, ear plugs, FRCs). Uses physical force to lift, push, pull and hold equipment/tools. Climbs and works at various heights. May work in a standing, sitting, lying down, crouched or kneeling position. Routinely reacts to visual, aural and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work. Regularly bends, stoops, moves from ground level to higher levels, raises/lifts from ground level a load up to 50 lbs., manually transports a load up to 75 lbs. Regularly gets in and out of vehicles and rides over rough roads. May be subject to overtime, shift work and call-outs.
