Primary Functions: - Will be required to Operate and maintain compressors, pigging, and work overtime. - Inspect, maintain and repair as needed all facilities as assigned. - Knowledge and experience with line location equipment and techniques. - Obtain OQ qualifications to mark underground facilities. - Perform operations and assist with maintenance activities on mainline compressor stations and natural gas pipelines. - Start, stop, load/unload compressors, housekeeping, monitor and record pressures, temperatures, volumes, fluid levels, etc. - Troubleshoot compressor and pipeline systems - Basic map reading and Global Positioning System (GPS) skills - Ability to read and utilize drawings, schematics, alignment sheets and P&ID drawings. - Maintain a working knowledge of regulatory requirements (OSHA, DOT, EPA and state regulations) and document required regulatory activities. - Must plan, organize and prioritize assigned responsibilities. - Work independently as liaison between Energy Transfer Partners and outside entities i.e. landowners, emergency response agencies, contractors and other pipeline companies. - Manage all activities with a focus on safety and compliance. - Other duties as assigned - Attends, participates and complies with company safety programs and policies. - Relieves and assists in operations and maintenance as needed. Essential Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Must provide valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record - Candidate will be required to take and pass a pre-employment drug test, and will adhere to and is subject to all U.S. Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol related regulations, and will be subject to a background check. - Excellent written and verbal skills. - Pipeline or previous work experience Preferred Skills: - Previous experience in high pressure natural gas pipeline/mainline transmission systems is desired. - Advanced training in valves and associated equipment - Strong mechanical aptitude/mechanically inclined Special Characteristics/Job Requirements: - Works indoors and outdoors, in and around mechanical, industrial and electrical equipment. - Required to climb about equipment and work in close proximities. - Works in temperature extremes due to weather conditions and operating equipment. - Uses physical force to lift, push, pull and hold equipment and tools.
