Gas Operations offers qualified students, in accredited engineering programs leading to a Bachelor of Science Degree, the opportunity to work in various areas of engineering on a rotational basis as part of the engineering cooperative program. This co-op will undertake short-term responsibilities which may involve any or all of the following: research, project management, process development, project team responsibilities, system planning, data entry, and documentation in support of Pipeline Engineering & Construction Drafting.
The student selected will be assigned to specific operations related work needs once on board. In addition of the Microsoft suite of software, other software applications utilized by electric and gas utilities may be used.
This co-op position is open for students pursuing degrees in undergraduate or graduate studies in Civil Engineering. In addition to working within your discipline, you may be asked to work across a multi-engineering discipline platform.
Work location will be in the Cincinnati, OH area with possible occasional travel within the Duke Energy service territory.

Qualifications
- Currently enrolled and pursuing a four year degree in Civil Engineering at an accredited college or university
- Enrolled in the co-op program at an accredited college or university
- Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
- Ability to work a minimum of three non-contiguous co-op sessions
- Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite software

Specific Requirements:
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (hardhat, safety glasses, appropriate clothing, ear plugs, fall protection, etc.) as needed
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
